The Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust (WAST) provides services across 8,000 square miles to over 3.5 million people, from Emergency Medical Services, to 111, 999, non-emergency patient transport and the national 111.wales website.

As part of our newly established Digital Directorate, you’ll be directly involved in transforming the patient journey through delivery of a variety of new capabilities, including our new Electronic Patient Clinical Record, 111 Digital Systems and cutting edge Ambulance technology.

Assistant Director of Digital Services: Data & Analytics

We are very excited to recruit an Assistant Director of Digital – Data and Analytics. This person will lead our mission to derive more intelligence through data, articulated here in our Trust Digital Strategy ‘Disruptive Excellence.’ Data and Information are at the heart of what we do and we need a strong leader with an equally strong background in data and analytics to take us to the next level. The successful candidate will work nationally within NHS Wales to represent WAST in key programmes such as the £60 million National Data Resource (NDR) programme, whilst deputising for the Director of Digital Services where required. This is a new role that recognises the importance of Information across all aspects of our business, and acknowledges the rapidly increasing number of datasets available to us as we bring new platforms and services online.
