If you are eligible and your transport is booked, here is what you can expect on the day

  • Due to the large number of journeys we make every day, we are not able to provide you with an exact time that our crews will collect you. However, our call takers will provide you with a time slot that your transport will arrive within. You should ensure that you are ready to leave anytime within that time slot.
  • Our vehicles are all equipped to take more than one patient so there is a high chance you will be travelling on the vehicle with other people.
  • Our service does not operate on a direct route to where your appointment will be, so depending on the time you are picked up you may be travelling to collect and drop off other patients.
  • Return journeys are automatically booked at the time of booking. If you only require a one way journey please notify our call takers at the time of booking.

Cancelling Transport

In the last year, almost 100,000 of our Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service journeys resulted with the patient not travelling or not being at home when our crews arrived.

Cancelling transport if it is no longer required is very important as it allows us to offer the service to another patient and does not waste our precious resources.
