Martin is a management consultant who has worked in the health sector in the UK as well as Jamaica, Lithuania, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Serbia and Sierra Leone.
He was a Chief Executive in the NHS for over 20 years before moving to Australia to work as a Chief Executive in Adelaide’s health service, eventually returning to the UK 2011.
Martin has served as Chairman for the Institute of Healthcare Management in Wales and was subsequently awarded the IHM Companionship Award.
Martin was the founder member and President of the Health Service Society of Certified Accountants and was first elected to ACCA’s Council and later became Global President.
In 2014, he was awarded a Doctorate by the University of South Wales for his contribution to the Accountancy profession.
