Welsh Ambulance Service invites members of the public to Trust Board meeting

MEMBERS of the public are being invited to take a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the Welsh Ambulance Service at its upcoming Trust Board meeting.

You can find out how decisions are made and pose your questions about the running of the service at the meeting, which is being held in Wrexham.

It will take place on Thursday 22 March at Wrexham AFC’s Racecourse Ground in the 1864 Suite, which can be accessed via the Hays Travel Stand on Mold Road.

Formal proceedings at the Trust’s latest quarterly board meeting will be held from 11am until 1.30pm before a break for refreshments.

This will be followed by an afternoon engagement session from 2pm onwards, when attendees will be able to get involved and offer their views.

Chair Mick Giannasi said: “We’re looking forward to bringing our board meeting out to the community in Wrexham, and where better than the oldest international football ground still in use.

“Anyone who wants to share their views on the services we provide or to find out more about what we do is very welcome to attend.

“Our afternoon engagement sessions are proving successful in helping us further connect with the communities we serve, as well as our staff and stakeholders.

“March’s engagement session will have a specific focus on how our emergency services, as part of NHS Wales, are dealing with winter pressures this year.”

There is a busy agenda on the day and those who wish to attend are welcome to speak to board members during the afternoon engagement session.

In order to make your attendance as comfortable as possible, the Trust is asking that anyone planning to go along confirms their attendance in advance with Steven Owen in the Corporate Services Team by e-mailing Steven.Owen2@wales.nhs.uk
